Audi reveals R15 and 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo Facelift

Audi reveals R15 and 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo FaceliftAudi seeks to reassert its ascendency in the image collection with its new diesel auto – the new R15 TDI. The new car, known internally as the “R15 Plus,” will make an appearance at the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year.

This racer, the latest of Audi’s diesel endurance image cars, will have upgraded mechanicals. It can be recalled that when Audi’s R10 TDI first arrived at the Le Mans circuit, the FIA changed the regs to make it easier for the gasoline and ethanol-fueled cars to compete. Since that time, Audi has had a tougher job at it but its team of exceptional drivers and the automobile as well have proven to be highly competitive. This weekend, Audi Sport Team Joest will be at the season opener in Le Castellet ahead of the Big Race in Le Mans on June 12-13. Ralf Jüttner, Technical Director of Audi Sport Team Joest, said that the Le Castellet vie is considered to only be a test in racing conditions. Jüttner added that Le Castellet offers a chance for the consort to deepen its experience with the R15 at the early possible time. The Sport Team Joest includes drivers, Dindo Capello, Tom Kristensen, and Allan McNish. However, it is unconfirmed if all three will take to the road at Le Castellet.
